Gemini II is inspired by the shadows that face us when we dive into a body of water. I was interested in negotiating the conventions of figurative painting and exploring duality. I believe that people are different when they are in a body of water, there Is a deep connection and feeling of escapism and I think the shadow represents that alter ego found when holding your breath and letting yourself move through another element.
